Ruth Ann (Lykke) Curtis was born to loving parents, Maurice and Katherine (Gesme) Lykke, July 20, 1962, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She passed June 26, 2015, at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.
Ruth graduated from Wayne High School, Wayne, Nebraska, in 1980 and furthered her education at Midland College, Fremont, Nebraska, graduating in 1984.
Ruth worked in Omaha, Nebraska, where she met Richard Curtis. Ruth and Rich were united in marriage September 14, 1987. They moved to Fargo, North Dakota, in 1997. Jacob and Jared were born into this union to share their love for each other.
Ruth worked many years as a medical transcriptionist, currently with Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
She is survived by her sons: Jacob (Justine) of Dilworth, Minnesota, and Jared (special friend, Rain Larson) of Fargo, North Dakota; father, Maurice Lykke of Fargo; brothers: Mark (Fae) of Spencer, Iowa and Keith (Gwendy) of Gaithersburg, Maryland; nine nieces and nephews: Natane (Michael) Sadusky, Suzanne (Thom) Mendlik, Sarah Hughes, Wendy (Jeremy) Lamb, Jason Romey, Niels Lykke, Kristina Lykke; five great nieces and nephews: Sydney and Jack Sadusky, Christian and Garrison Mendlik, Madyson Hughes and one grandchild, Peyton Curtis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, mother Kay and two brothers, Paul and Craig.
Ruth will be buried alongside husband Richard, mother Kay, and brothers Paul and Craig, at St. Paul's cemetery, Ringsted, Iowa.
Ruth was a special gift from God.
