Jennifer Rae Olson

Jennifer Rae Olson passed away peacefully at her home at 1635 on the afternoon of February 25.

Jennifer was born to Luther and Jean (Hamre) Olson on July 10, 1948 in Fargo. She was baptized at First Lutheran in Fargo in the fall of 1948.

Jennifer began school in Fargo at the Pilot School in 1954. From the age of nine, Jennifer was a resident of the North Dakota State School in Grafton and for the past many years at a wonderful group home at 1635 South 34th Avenue, here in Fargo. Jennifer was confirmed at Atonement Lutheran in Fargo in 1990 and attended there regularly. She was a rascal. She enjoyed stuffed animals, pancakes at the Fry'n' Pan, anything red, and watches. Yes, she really loved watches.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved brother, Jeffery Paul Olson; her step-mother, Shirley Olson; and her nephew, Mikkel Rockne. She is survived by her sister-in-law, LaDon Olson of New Albany, IN; step-brother, Tom (Jana) Rockne of Traverse City, MI; nieces, Rebecca (Paul) Ginkins of Pekin, IN and Kristin (John) Poage of Bloomington, IN; nephews, Daniel Rockne of Traverse City, MI and Peter Rockne of Henderson, NV; along with grandnieces and grandnephews.

Cremation has taken place. A prayer service will be held at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home at 10:00AM on June 13, 2025. A private interment will occur at Kirkebo Lutheran Church Cemetery in Perley, MN, alongside her mother that afternoon.

Matthew 15:30-31 "A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn't speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all. The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn't been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! And they praised the God of Israel."
