Clifford Thrane of West Fargo, North Dakota, the seventh son of Palmer and Gunda Thrane, was born in Fargo on September 25, 1935 and passed away on September 5, 2013.
Cliff attended the one room country school in the Norman settlement east of Kindred and Kindred High School.
Cliff operated the Korner Kafe outside of Kindred for several years. He took basic training in the army at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, went to cook and bakers school and served as a cooking instructor. After serving in the army, Cliff was employed as a Master Chef at the Oak Manor Restaurant in Fargo and at the Edgewater Biltmore in Detroit Lakes. He was a chef at the Best Western in Thief River Falls, Minnesota until his retirement in 1998 when he moved to Fargo, North Dakota.
Clifford is survived by brothers Ralph Thrane of St. Paul, Minnesota and David Thrane of Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by brothers Harold, Alfred, Leif and Gordon.
