Charlotte Louise (Erickson) Idso, 89, formerly of Fargo, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, in Bedford, Texas.

She was born on December 30, 1935, in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She was the eldest of three children born to the late Bennie and Orlie Erickson. Charlotte met her future husband, Laurel, when she was 13, and he was the love of her life. They married on June 12, 1955, and raised three children in Fargo. The family relocated to Wisconsin for a short time and then permanently to Texas, where she had a successful career in the
insurance industry.

Charlotte lived a full and meaningful life loving God, family and friends, and she treasured every moment with her only grandson. She was a trooper as she faced health issues in her later years - an absolute rock star! Her grace, incredibly strong constitution and wit got her through the challenging times. She touched so many hearts and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor.

Charlotte is survived by her brother, Randy Erickson in Minnesota; daughter, Patty (Bill) Fischer in Florida; son, Doug in Texas; daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Herrin in Texas; grandson, Daniel Herrin in Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurel; parents-in-law, parents; two brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law and sister.

A special thank you to the Freedom Hospice team in Texas. Their care, devotion and family support has been invaluable.

Per Charlotte's request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of services or flowers, please consider a donation to the American Lung Association or your favorite charity in her loving memory. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
