Verne Pladson, 80, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Verne was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on November 15, 1928, to Martin and Clara (Larson) Pladson. He attended Fargo Public Schools and graduated from Fargo Central High. He also attended MSTC (now MSU) in Moorhead, Minnesota.Verne entered the US Marine Corps and served twice, once in WW II and then in Korea. Verne married Donna Quandt on December 17, 1960, and they had 48 plus years together. Verne was Past Master of Shiloh Lodge #1 and was also active in the El Zagel 57’s in his younger years. Verne was a building contractor and could do almost anything and was good at it. Verne is survived by his wife, Donna; stepson, Ken Quandt, Fargo; granddaughter, Robyn, Fargo; sister, Maxine (Charles) Lauer, Illinois; brother, Jerry (Jean) Pladson, Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dolores (Louis) Green; and niece, Sharon Green. Funeral Service: Monday, July 6, 2009, at 10:30 am, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
