Steve Berlinger, 40, of Dilworth, MN, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Steven James Berlinger was born on February 17, 1983, in the town of Graceville, Minnesota. The son of Michael and Donna (Schultz) Berlinger, Steve grew up in Chokio, Minnesota.
Steve graduated from Chokio-Alberta High School before he pursued his passion for machines and technology. He graduated from Alexandria Technical and Community College with a Machine Tool Technology Machinist degree. Armed with this knowledge, Steve embarked on a successful career in the technology industry, working as a CNC programmer at Fargo Automation and working his way up to Machining Operations Manager. In 2021 he became the Vice President of Research and Development at 701x.
In 2008, Steve found his greatest joy when he married Jenna Roberge, the love of his life. Their marriage was blessed with two beautiful children, Madilyn and Kai, who were the source of immense pride and joy for Steve. He delighted in spending time with them, nurturing their spirits, and imparting his values of love, kindness, and curiosity. He was so delighted that he got to work with Madi at 701x, and beamed with pride when talking to people about the work they were doing together. He loved his family so passionately.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman who cherished the serenity of nature. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, alongside his father, creating cherished memories and passing down traditions to his son Kai.
Steve was constantly helping family and friends fix/tinker/improve any problem he could find. He could fix anything, or at least improve it to his liking. He was a music expert and knew all eras of music. No shower could be taken without music playing he could sing with. Steve's sense of humor will be dearly missed. He had such a quick wit and loved to make people laugh, usually as hard as he was laughing at himself.
A faithful member of the St. Francis de Sales Church in Moorhead, Minnesota, Steve found solace and strength in his faith.
Steve was an organ donor. We are so very proud to know he has helped countless others.
Steve will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Jenna, their children, Madilyn and Kai; parents, Michael and Donna Berlinger, Chokio, MN; siblings, Alisa (Tim) Rustand, Anna (Justin) Anderson, Melissa (Craig) Ritter, Emily (Jeremy) Bring; nephews and nieces, Tim, Eva, Tyler, and Taylor Rustand, Lyla Anderson, Kailey, Chylar, and Natyah Ritter, Sophia and Hayden Bring, Caitlyn Thompson, Adara Miller, Aliviah, Kody and Kohen Sandvik, Tegan and Greyson Abel, Gianna Ramirez, Jaden and Jordyn Keene, Allyssa and Keira Scoles and Charlie Lane; in-laws, Mark and Sue Beckstrom, Glen and Teresa Roberge, Jodi (Darren) Miller, Jill (Josh) Keene, Jessica Sandvik (Ryan Abel), Matthew Novotny, Corey (Michelle) Scoles; and countless loving family and friends.
