Shane Schumacher

Shane J. Schumacher, 46, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, July 17th, 2010, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Shane was born on April 29th, 1964, in Devils Lake, ND to Charles and Marie (Brda) Schumacher. He attended school in Devils Lake and began working after he completed high school. In 1987, he moved to Abercrombie, ND where he met his wife Julie. The couple moved to Fargo in 1988, where they have since resided. On June 9th, 1990, they eloped in Sioux Falls, SD. Shane worked for Gremada Industries and did maintenance for many years at the Kelly Inn. He enjoyed spending time at Wood Lake, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. When he wasn’t spending time outdoors, he could be found working on motors and could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with his family and took pride in being the father of four daughters. Shane is survived by his wife Julie, his four daughters, Lexi, Chloe, Krista, and Mya, his father, Charles of Devils Lake, ND, his sisters Cathy (Rick) Soper of Prior Lake, MN, Tammy Reierson of Devils Lake, ND, and Vickie Sorenson of Shakopee, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Marie. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the 7th floor of MeritCare for the care that they provided to Shane. Funeral service: Wednesday, July 21st, 2010, at 2:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in the Celebration Center, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, July 20th, 2010, from 5-7 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 PM.
