Ryan Jason Weed, 46, passed away from internal health complications at his home in Moorhead, MN, on July 18, 2022. He will be remembered for his outgoing, witty, and happy-go-lucky personality.
Ryan joined his family, parents Mark and Connie Weed, and sister Kati, on November 19, 1975. A few years later, his brother Michael was born, and their family was complete.
He went to Clara Barton Elementary, Agazzi Junior High, and Fargo South High School. He enjoyed running around with neighbor kids and skating at the Clara Barton hockey rink in his younger years. As he aged, his passion became very apparent by all the books that surrounded him. Most of the time, he would have many books going at one time. His collection of books numbered in the hundreds.
Ryan was surrounded by many neighborhood parents, which continued to support and love him through the years. He was a happy, intelligent, creative kid with a good sense of humor that could always make you laugh. He was an active member of his church youth group and enjoyed many special trips with the youth and leaders.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces at the lake and time at his grandparents in Devils Lake and the Webster farm with cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family was an important part of his life.
Ryan obtained a Communication major and English minor from Moorhead State University.
Ryan and Christy (Glaesman) Weed were married on May 5, 2006. Ryan loved her large family, and Christy introduced Ryan to the art of camping.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Millie and Ernie Weed, Alma and Wallace Jones, and brother Michael.
He is survived by his loving parents: Mark and Connie Weed, sister Kati (Brad) Hruby; nieces: Olivia Hruby, Lauren Hruby, Meredith Hruby, Hanna Hruby, and Saylor Weed and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 25, at 10:30 at First Presbyterian Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church Youth or an organization that has special meaning to you.
