Pauline Hertz

Pauline Hertz, 99, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo. Pauline Hertz was born June 25, 1910, in New Leipzig, North Dakota, daughter of Nathaniel and Louise (Schmid) Haase. She married Karl J. Hertz December 8, 1931. They farmed until they moved to Fargo in 1947. They had three children, Clarice Weum, Battle Lake, MN; Clane (Karen) Hertz, Fargo, ND; and Dal (Nancy) Hertz, Hugo, MN. Pauline was an accomplished seamstress and took great pride in her work. She was member of Edgewood United Methodist Church. Pauline is survived by her children; one sister, Esther Hochalter, New Leipzig, ND; eight grandchildren, Taryn and Kimberly Weum; Tami, Troy and Teri Hertz; Tracy (Hertz) Busche; Natalie (Hertz) Shafer; and Derek Hertz; and five great-grandchildren, Shannon, Matthew and Brady Pfeifer; Christopher and Hailey Busche. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers and seven sisters. Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One half hour prior to the service. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
