Mary C. Morgan passed away Monday, June 29 in the care of Sanford Hospice House, Fargo. She was born on February 5, 1936 to Melvin and Irene Bye Ostlie in Mayville, ND. Melvin Ostlie died before she was born. Mary lived in Hatton, ND where she attended elementary and high school. In October of 1954, she married Curtis Hanson. Their son Brian was born in July of 1955. In 1958, Curt was tragically killed in a work accident. Mary and Brian moved to Fargo where she met Bernard Morgan at a Johnson’s Barn dance in 1959. They were married on November 4, 1960 at St. Anthony’s Church. Their son, Barry was born in 1962. Mary and Bernie continued to live in Fargo through the years.

She is survived by Bernie, her husband of 59 years, sons Brian (Deborah) Hanson and Barry Morgan, both Fargo; seven grandchildren – Tyler Hanson, Key West, FL; Jacob (Jessica) Hanson, Tempe, AZ; Brett (Carrie) Hanson, Bielefeld, Germany; Casey (Courtney) Hanson, Fargo; Jessica Morgan, Madison, WI; Nicole (Brian) Pelletier, Cavalier, ND; Jamie Lee Bandy (Ft. Bragg, NC) and seven great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Irene Ostlie and Verona and Richard Ness, her sister and brother-in-law.
