Lillian Cassidy

Lillian Cassidy, 91, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, December 15, 2008, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Lillian Emma Perleberg was born January 17, 1917, in rural Buchanan, North Dakota, daughter of Robert and Emilia (Buetow) Perleberg. She attended rural Buchanan schools. She worked in Fargo until her marriage to John Cassidy on February 1, 1942, in Seattle, Washington. They lived in Seattle for four years and moved to the Fargo area. Lillian was a great cook and baker. She and John retired in 1978, which gave them more time to go dancing which they thoroughly enjoyed. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Klev, Moorhead, MN; sister, Emogene Stoppleworth, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Erica (Donny) Schatz, Horace, ND; Ryan (Tanya) Klev, Hawley, MN; great-granddaughter, Savanna, Horace, ND; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two sisters and five brothers. Funeral Service: Friday, December 19, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
