Glenda Nelson, 69, of Fargo died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Bethany Retirement Living Center, Fargo. Glenda graduated from Grace City, ND High School in 1958 and attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. She worked as a secretary at both Fargo Central and Fargo South. Glenda was married to Ronald Nelson November 10, 1962 at Grace City, ND. Glenda looked forward to spending holidays with her family. She loved traveling with Ronald on trips to the Indianapolis 500 and other auto races. Her weekends at Detroit Lakes, playing bridge and having coffee with her girl friends were also very enjoyable to her. Her trip to New York and Palm Springs were also very meaningful and fun. One of the most memorable trips was to Norway with Ron, Stan and Shirley to visit aunts and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Ron; brother, George (Kaye) Topp, Grace City, ND; two sisters, Shirley (Stanley) Lyson, Williston, ND and Marilyn (Robert) Glowac, Austin, MN; brother-in-law Gary (Carol) Nelson, Fishers, IN; nieces and nephews, Tammy, Rory, Lisa, Bob Jr., Joe, Becky, Corey, Andrea, Karen, Elizabeth, David, Steven and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Thelma Topp. We will remember Glenda as one who put other people’s problems above her own. She inherited her positive attitude and good outlook on life from her parents. Glenda was courageous, creative and strong. Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 10:30 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4575 45th St. S., Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 7th St. S., Fargo, ND. Followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND. Memorials preferred to the Arthritis Foundation.
