Franklin "Sam" Scott

Franklin Samuel Scott was born May 31, 1989 in Fargo, ND, to Robert and Julie (Weckwerth) Scott. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2007. Sam worked for North Dakota Grain Inspection before joining Dakota Ag Cooperative in Kindred, ND a year ago. Sam was a member of Boy Scout Troop 214, and became an Eagle Scout in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, mudding, boating, spending time at the lake and hanging out with friends. Sam died, Thursday, June 9, 2011, in a work related accident in Kindred, ND. Sam is survived by his parents; brother, Tyler, Fargo, ND; grandfather, Elwood Weckwerth, Montevideo, MN; uncle, Larry Weckwerth, Winnipeg, Manitoba; and uncle, Scott (Phyllis) Weckwerth, Montevideo, MN; cousins, Holly, Amanda, Luke. He was preceded in death by Grandmother Weckwerth and Grandmother and Grandfather Scott. Memorial Service: Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Graveside Service: Thursday, June 16, 2011, 1:30 PM, at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sparta Township, Montevideo, MN.
