Fay Hillerson

Fay Yvonne Hillerson, age 90, of Fargo, ND, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on November 19, 2010. Fay was born in McGregor, ND on August 4, 1920 to Leonard and Nayme Erickson. Fay graduated from Chaffee, ND High School, attended Interstate Business College and was employed for several years in Fargo, ND. Fay married Marvin Hillerson on March 8, 1947. They farmed near Luverne, ND for 38 years before retiring to Fargo, ND. Fay had been a resident of Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND since 2007. A devoted wife and mother, Fay loved to be with her family. Marvin, her husband of 59 years, passed away in July 2006. Fay is survived by five children: Linda (Stan) Bjornstad of Moorhead, MN; Carol (Tom) Trisco of Milwaukee, WI; Duane (Marcy) Hillerson of Minneapolis, MN; Jayne (Bob) Chupka of Atlanta, GA; and Serina Hillerson of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Josh) Wendt, Mark (Alyson) Bjornstad, Ted Trisco, Dustin Hillerson, Erica (Nick) Hanson, and Natalie Hillerson; and two great grandsons: Keanan and Karson Wendt. Fay is also survived by a brother, Merle (Ruby) Erickson, and many nieces and nephews. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Nayme Erickson, and her sister and brother-in-law, Mazie and Stan Koch. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 7th Street South, Fargo ND at 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 3 at 11 a.m. at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis, MN. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
