Craig Alvin Mueller

Craig Alvin Mueller passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at his home in Fargo.

Craig was born on March 20, 1951 to Alvin and Barbara (Olson) Mueller. He was baptized and confirmed at Sheyenne Lutheran Church, rural Pekin, ND. He attended Bergen #4 Country School through 2nd grade, started McVille Elementary School in 1959 and graduated from McVille High School in 1969. Craig and Virginia (Ginny) Naas were married on September 1, 1972 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, rural Kloten, ND.

Craig attended NDSU after high school and transferred to UND in 1972, graduating in May, 1974. After graduation, he managed the Midland Fertilizer Plant in Hatton, ND and was also a sales representative for Cenex/Land O Lakes. In 1983, Craig and family moved to Cooperstown, ND where he was General Manager of Farmers Oil. Craig and Ginny moved to Fargo in 2001, where he became a claims representative for Nodak Insurance. He retired from Nodak on February 28, 2018.

Craig was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Fargo. While in Cooperstown, Craig was on the Board of Directors of the Griggs County Hospital & Nursing Home Assn., served as a confirmation mentor and Trustee of Trinity Lutheran Church, member of 230 Club and the Mueller Family were volunteers at the Cooper Theater.

Craig enjoyed life – he loved being with family and friends, attending his grandchildrens’ school events, doing his home projects, hanging out in the garage with his huge 1979 radio and speakers, going out to eat, and his Bud Lite. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy and could always put a smile on his face.

Craig will be missed every day by his wife, Ginny; his children, Jana (Jason) Stafford, Cody, WY, Dane (RaNora) Mueller, Cooperstown, ND and Beth (Cody) Kollman, Kensal, ND; 11 grandchildren, Katelind, Baylee, Ava, Nicholas, Samantha, Jayden, Elliot, Emma, Hunter, Josie and Kahri,; 3 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Raven and Lily; sisters, Carolyn Oster, Hazen, ND, Carmen Savage, Moscow, ID, and Cindy (Ron) Ophaug, Minto, ND; sister-in-law, Barbara (Rodney) Adrian, Omaha, NE; brother-in-law, Michael (ReJean) Naas, Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Barbara and Alvin Mueller; mother and father-in-law, Irving and Alaine Naas; infant brother, Dixon Dale; brothers-in-law, John Oster and George Savage; nephew, Aaron Ophaug; infant great-grandson, Deaken Duane Larson.
